Statistical Methods to Unveil the Genetic Architecture of Dental Caries – $25,000.00

This project aims to develop novel statistical methods for gene-based association and network analyses and perform a comprehensive investigation on the genome-wide dental caries data from the Gene Environment Association Studies. It provides valuable insights to answer the following key biological questions: which genes are associated with dental caries, and how do they interact with each other to affect caries susceptibility? Findings from this study can help discover the genetic architecture of dental caries, and in the longer term may lead to improvements in prediction, prevention, and treatment of this disease.
