4-VA supports expanding access to higher education by facilitating innovative, flexible, experiential, and non-traditional learning opportunities at participating institutions.
4-VA leverages the strengths of each partner member institution to expand student access to flexible learning opportunities and faculty expertise. Through the expanded learning opportunities initiative, 4-VA focuses on flexibility to accommodate experiential learning. The expanded learning opportunities initiative allows for connections between students and faculty across 4-VA institutions, so that expanded learning opportunities are not inhibited by location.
Goals:
- Continue to expand opportunities to connect students and faculty across 4-VA institutions in a variety of flexible learning environments.
- Identify and support opportunities to support non-traditional credentialing and experiential learning.
